The sun was beating down on the Yuma Mesa just as it has for thousands of years. The Sky Island Riders had been planning a long-distance ride, a ride they'd taken many times before.

Theresa had just received her new vented Brezza jacket. It was lightweight and comfortable, but still had all the important features of a Corazzo jacket. It came equipped with an abrasion-resistant outer shell, armor in the back, elbows, and shoulders; reflective accents for night riding. Most important, it was fully vented, just the thing for a ride through the desert.
